Our Story and Vision
Karen Santoni and Jennifer Eames met while working together at a large nonprofit and quickly realized that, despite having different strengths and styles, there was alignment in vision: that fundraising today didn’t need to be so complicated, stressful and isolating.
We wanted to harness what we knew worked: building a fundraising model based on best practices and data – implemented one step at a time – can lead to increased individual giving and organizational sustainability. The rest is about connection, relationships and empathy.
Karen and Jen founded Raising Momentum in 2023 based on our 20+ years of varied experiences and diverse approaches to fundraising: Karen is the connector, the optimist, the fundraising artist; Jen is the creator, the strategist, the fundraising scientist.
Bringing the art and science together, Karen and Jen are collaborating on their shared vision to empower nonprofits, and the fundraisers that power them, to combine passion with planning, amplify the strengths of the team and build the foundations and frameworks that will drive increased individual giving.
